KANGPOKPI — Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen on Thursday issued a strong condemnation of an armed attack carried out on the same day at Mullam village in Ukhrul district, describing it as a brutal and cowardly act that devastated homes, destroyed properties, and left many innocent civilians injured, including women and children.
In a signed statement issued from Kangpokpi, Kipgen — who holds charge of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Tribal Affairs and Hills under the Manipur government — said the senseless violence unleashed by armed miscreants constituted not only an inhuman act against unarmed villagers but a direct assault on the fabric of society.

Kipgen extended her deepest solidarity to all victims and affected families, saying the pain of those who had lost their homes, security, and peace was profoundly felt.
