The Chief Minister was received by Vice-Chancellor Daljit Singh Chaudhary, IPS (Retd.), former Director General of the Border Security Force, along with senior university officials.

Responding to the issues, the Chief Minister said construction of the approach road to the university would begin from next week. He also announced that around six borewells would be dug as a temporary measure to address water shortage in the area.
Khemchand Singh further assured that adequate security personnel would be deployed if necessary to ensure uninterrupted execution of the ongoing construction works.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that the student intake capacity of the university campus would be around 1,300 once fully operational. He added that the entire project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
