Dhanamanjuri University has invited online applications for postgraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. Applications open on July 3 and close on July 18.
Imphal, July 2: Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) has announced the commencement of admissions to its postgraduate programmes for the 2026-27 academic session, with the online application process scheduled to begin on July 3.
The university has invited applications for admission to the first semester of various postgraduate programmes, including Master of Arts (M.A.), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Commerce (M.Com.), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Physical Education and Sports Science (M.P.E.S.), and Master of Laws (LL.M.).
According to the admission notification, applications will be accepted exclusively through the university's official website. Candidates have been advised to carefully read the e-prospectus before completing the online application form to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements and follow the prescribed admission procedure.
The admission exercise covers a wide range of disciplines across the humanities, sciences, commerce, management, law and sports education. These include Anthropology, Botany, Business Administration, Chemistry, Commerce, Defence and Strategic Studies, Economics, Education, English, Electronics, Environmental Science, Folkloristics, Geography, Geology, Hindi, History, Home Science, Manipuri, Law, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Physical Education and Sports Science, Sociology, Statistics and Zoology.
The online registration portal will remain open from July 3 to July 18, with applications being accepted until 11:59:59 p.m. on July 18. However, candidates are also required to submit a printed copy of the completed application form, along with supporting documents and proof of payment, to the concerned Department of Studies by July 20.
DMU has fixed the application fee at Rs 500 for General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, while applicants belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories will pay a concessional fee of Rs 300.
The university will accept online payments through debit cards, credit cards, net banking and Unified Payments Interface (UPI), allowing applicants to complete the registration process electronically before submitting the required hard copies.
Admissions to all postgraduate programmes will be based on candidates' performance in the Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2026, which will determine the preparation of the merit list for each department.
The university has also extended an opportunity to students who are awaiting the results of their undergraduate sixth semester examinations. Such candidates are eligible to apply for admission under the current notification. However, if selected, their admission will remain provisional until they submit all required academic documents and satisfy the verification process within the deadlines prescribed by the respective Departments of Studies.
The admission notification reiterates that applicants should ensure the accuracy of the information provided in the online form and complete every stage of the application process within the stipulated timeline to avoid disqualification.
The annual postgraduate admission process is expected to draw applicants from across Manipur seeking admission to DMU's constituent departments, which offer postgraduate education in a broad range of academic disciplines.
