Manipur Police arrested five individuals for damaging a truck and destroying 600 fertilizer bags in Moirang.
IMPHAL – On April 26, 2026, the Manipur Police successfully apprehended five individuals linked to the destruction of a loaded truck at Moirang Patlou, situated under the jurisdiction of Moirang-PS in Bishnupur district. The suspects were involved in damaging the vehicle and destroying its cargo of fertilizer bags.

On 26.04.2026, Manipur Police arrested 05 (five) individuals who were involved in damaging a loaded truck and destroying its shipment of fertilizer bags at Moirang Patlou under Moirang-PS, Bishnupur district:

During the arrest, police seized four two-wheelers used in the commission of the crime. The incident originated when a Tata truck, reportedly carrying approximately 600 bags of Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) from Bihar, was intercepted by the public at Moirang on suspicion of unauthorized transportation.

Peter Salam of the Agriculture Department confirmed that the shipment was associated with Agro-Tech Solutions. Following the interception, the department has moved to penalize the supplier and recipient. Legal proceedings are being handled under the Fertilizer (Control) Order to ensure strict adherence to commodity transportation laws.
